DOHA, QATAR - 20TH OCTOBER 2009

RasGas Company Limited (RasGas) will be honored by the presence of His Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Emir of the State of Qatar, next week when the company officially inaugurates its sixth liquefaction train, Train 6, and celebrates its 10 Year LNG Sales Anniversary. 

The inauguration of RasGas Train 6 and the 10 Year LNG Sales Anniversary promises to be a spectacular affair. More than 1,000 VIPs from around the globe are scheduled to attend, including local and overseas ministers, industry leaders and CEOs from the world's leading energy companies.

The celebration will be one of the highest profile industry events of the year for both RasGas and for the State of Qatar, and marks a defining moment in Qatar's development as a gas producing and exporting nation. The event also celebrates the ten year anniversary of RasGas' first sale of LNG back in 1999.

RasGas' Train 6 is one of the world's largest liquefied natural gas (LNG) trains and belongs to a new generation of 'mega-trains',  capable of producing 7.8 million tonnes of LNG per annum (Mta).  The inauguration next week will mark a defining moment in Qatar's development as a gas producing and exporting nation, as well as boosting the company's overall LNG production to approximately 28.5 Mta.

DOHA, QATAR - 30TH DECEMBER 2009

Ras Laffan Liquefied Natural Gas Company Limited (II) (RasGas) has begun supplying an additional 2.5 million tonnes per annum (Mta) of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Petronet LNG Limited (Petronet) of India - increasing the total long-term contract quantities between the two parties to 7.5 Mta.
