External Communication

As RasGas has developed swiftly to become a leading producer of natural gas, so its external communication have become more important. While the company continues to grow and to bring new products to market, it needs at the same time to raise its profile regionally and around the world, and to develop its relationships with the media, with existing and potential clients, and with the wider public.

Three recent examples of the effective work being done in this area are the latest advertising campaign, RasGas Magazine and the RasGas information kit.

In March 2004, RasGas launched its new ‘Power of the Drop’ advertising campaign and external communication drive in print and broadcast media. With its powerful artistic imagery, the campaign had a great success locally, regionally and internationally, and has highlighted RasGas' achievements in setting the pace within the industry.  From November 2005, this campaign augmented by a new campaign and a new visual language for RasGas, centred on the expression, ‘the energy to transform’.

The RasGas Magazine is distributed to key industry executives, government officials and RasGas partners and customers. Full of news, information and analysis, the magazine is also an integral part of the material distributed at major conferences and exhibitions, such as Petrotech, GasTech and the World Petroleum Congress.

The RasGas information kit, aided by the company’s website, is a comprehensive source of information on all RasGas and Qatar LNG developments. The information kit and the RasGas website combine to form a single, powerful tool in achieving extensive media coverage.
